My transformational experience
They say that life is a journey that starts from a first single step. My first step into yoga, mindfulness and meditation started in 2009. After completing my Master’s degree in Marketing at the University of Amsterdam, I started my career in a demanding commercial role for a multinational Fortune 500 company. I enjoyed leading international teams and was often traveling around Europe.
Deep dive into yoga, mindfulness and meditation
Due to a busy schedule I experienced stress, lower back pain and migraines. So, I stepped on the yoga mat to find some relaxation and to release my chronic back pain. By practicing yoga, I saw that I could be more productive and energetic, I could stay calm, and take critical decisions. After some years, I felt so energized and empowered about transforming my mind and body, that I decided to dive deeper into the essence of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation:
- I took the 500-hours Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT) training to master yoga, breathing techniques and meditation. This is a very intense training of 9 months and more than twice as long as the standard 200-hours CYT
- I followed the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction course from its founder Jon Kabat-Zinn, Professor of Medicine Emeritus
- I traveled through India and Nepal to explore the roots of yoga and study its philosophy
- I successfully completed the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (MMT) Certification Program, accredited by The Society of Holistic Therapists & Coaches
Tailor-made workplace health programs
This knowledge and my own transformational experience inspired me to help others. Coming from a multinational corporate background, I decided to focus on business environments, bringing balance, physical and mental relief, and inspiration into the lives of my colleagues and employees in other companies. So, I have translated my knowledge of yoga, mindfulness, meditation and understanding of business environment needs into tailor-made and effective employee wellbeing, stress resilience, burnout prevention and sleep management programs.
My journey continues with you
I have launched my first workplace health program in my former office and it has been a real success – over 40 employees have joined to learn stress release techniques, relax, and re-energize after a long day at work. Since then I have worked with a growing number of international clients, helping their teams to release physical and mental tension, boost their productivity and inspire a flow of new ideas.
I have developed workplace health programs to be suitable for any age, gender, and background. Each program is business environment relevant and office-friendly. So no candles, chanting AUMs or yogic terminology that nobody understands. It’s all about effective tools that work for your team.
